【概要】共鳴Ｘ線散乱実験による反強誘電副次相の研究を目的として含臭素キラル液晶を合成し、その相構造を同定した。臭素の導入により、液晶相温度が130Kにも広がり、また少なくとも5つの副次相を確認した。共鳴Ｘ線散乱による構造同定結果についても報告した。(Jun Yamamoto, discussion)

【概要】多層膜高分子コレステリック液晶フィルムで含色素低分子コレステリック液晶を挟んだ新しい液晶レーザー素子を作製し、特性を評価した所、従来の素子に比べしきい値が1/10に低下することがわかった。またその構造について光学計算を行い、光の状態密度のシミュレーション結果と実験結果を考察した。
