【概要】超臨界溶媒中での孤立高分子鎖のコンフォメーション変化を，液体の密度汎関数理論に基づくマルチスケールシミュレーションを用いて解析した．それにより，(a)高分子鎖が親溶媒性であるか疎溶媒性であるかに関わらず，臨界点近傍では普遍的に大きく広がったコンフォメーションを取る事，(b)強い親溶媒性高分子の場合は，圧縮率が理想気体を下回る辺りで，高分子-溶媒複合形成による特異的な自己凝縮状態が現れる事を見いだした．</div>

【概要】PatraとGhoshにより提案されたweighted-density approximationは，我々が導入した有効密度に対する一次の密度汎関数テーラー展開により導かれる事を示した．この手法を剛体球，Lennerd-Jones流体および一成分プラズマに適用し，バルクの構造と熱力学量，および壁近傍やスリットの間の密度分布を計算した．結果をシミュレーションと比較することにより，有効密度近似の有効性を検討した．</div>

【概要】電子と核とを同時に扱う事が可能な量子-古典混合系に対する密度汎関数理論を用いて，高密度流体水素の理論的研究を行った．10000Kの等温線に沿った密度減少により，金属相と非金属相の二相共存による不連続な金属-非金属転移が観測された．</div>
